Overview
Glenro Group is a unique commercial practice formed by experienced professional Construction, Commercial, and Consulting Engineers seeking to provide a 360-degree solution so as to serve the Built Environment Industry. This practice was borne in 2001 out of the need to assist and guide the industry with key advisory and consulting services to ensure project success. The South African Built Environment is not only challenged by skill shortages but, of greater concern, is the move towards a more adversarial mode of operation, irrespective of the point of view, whereby claims and disputes, followed by adjudication and arbitration hearings have become the norm rather than the exception.
Glenro’s strength lies in the passion and experience of its staff, who are committed to guide and protect clients by supplying effective solutions to complex issues. Alistair has 27 years’ experience in Project Management and Law and has worked on some of the largest multi-disciplinary projects in South Africa from the consulting, contracting, and client perspectives. He has extensive experience in the field of Construction, Engineering, and Labour Law.
His expertise is recognized by the university of Witwatersrand where he lectures to both undergraduate and post graduate students alike. Alistair’s strength lies in the integration of the technical and legal elements of the engineering process, whether at concept, design, construction or implementation phase. In addition, he can accurately impart advice on the existence of contractual breaches, possible ramifications along with the assessment for the speediest resolution thereof

Paul has over 15 years of experience in commercial & contract management and in the practice of law. He has an array of experience in the engineering, manufacturing, mining, and construction industries.
He is a qualified engineer in training (EIT) in the USA. He is also an admitted attorney in the state of Wisconsin, USA and an advocate of the High Court of South Africa with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School and an LLB from UNISA.

Lené is an attorney on the non-practicing roll, with extensive specialist contract skills and expertise. She assists with drafting, negotiating, as well as the commercial implementation of standard form construction contracts. Her experience includes all aspects of construction claims, and adjudication and arbitration proceedings across industry standard form construction contracts, as well bespoke contractual matters.
Lee has been a Manager and Project Manager for over 20 years. He has spent over 17 years in the construction industry working on 100s of projects ranging from the building of railways, highways, water reticulation, refurbishments, complete construction of buildings and plants, as well as numerous housing projects. Lee is also experienced in health and safety management.
Jan has over 20 years of experience in commercial law and over 6 years advising more specifically in the construction industry.
